Electronic Medical Records

A big debate in Congress right now is the issue of providing patients with medical records in an electronic format. Sounds like a good idea. Consumer driven health, what does that mean? How can a consumer drive health care costs without the proper information? Google and Cleveland Clinic should be commended for introducing electronic data storage. But does that really solve the issue? We hear so often about personal records being stolen? Card card information with sensitive information like social security and drivers license data. How safe is our personal medical information on a third parties website?

Electronic medical records are long over due. The healthcare system has more then enough monies flowing through it to cover everyone in the US. the problem is that the delivery system needs an overall. The place to start are electronic patient records.

Nowadays many doctors are now taking advantage of the internet to conduct web consultations. It able to access patient data from anywhere in the world via a secure connection even allows the doctor to conduct web consultations or generate reports from home. Health maintenance reminders that can be automatically generated from an EMR system also contribute to providing improved patient care.
