I think it is funny that some of public servants grandstand every time they accomplish something for the community. I understand blowing one’s own horn but some of them take it to a level that is just ridiculous. One example is my own state senator Michael Noland. This guy takes the cake as far as ass of the year. He is posting pictures on his website and Face book  were he is giving mock checks to private organizations made out from the State of Illinois and signed by him “Mike Noland” as if he wrote the check? This guy is using taxpayers money to further his political career.  I am sure they are for good causes Senator, but in the future please write the checks from your account not the taxpayers. We are 13 billion dollars, billion with a B in debt and I don’t appreciate your grandstanding with our money.
